The Interesting Exhibit section presents a valuable handmade relic belonging to the educator, writer Adele Diržyte-Naginskienė (1885-1949) – an album created in 1910 by her fellow students at the “Saulės” Society courses. The album contains poems by ten of Diržytė-Naginskienė’s school friends, memories of their school years together, and heartfelt and sincere wishes.
Diržytė-Naginskienė was born on 19 January 1885. In 1911 she graduated from the courses of the “Saulės” Society, in 1912 she passed her teacher’s exams in Moscow. In 1912-1915 she taught at the Panevėžys Charity School, in 1918-1919 at the Žiburys Pro-Gymnasium in Yaroslavl, in 1919-1922 at the Vytautas the Great Gymnasium in Vilnius (in 1920 Ona Mašiotienė Girls’ Gymnasium was added to the Gymnasium), and in 1922-1929 at the Gymnasium in Rokiskis. In 1932, she founded a branch of the Lithuanian Children’s Society in Rokiškis and was appointed its chairwoman.
