Family celebrations at the Lithuanian Education Museum

Have you ever found yourself surrounded by buzzing, rustling, crackling, and whispering sounds, as if nature itself had opened the door to its vibrant world? On the afternoons of October 11 and 25, the Lithuanian Education Museum invites families to immerse themselves in the magical world of the living exhibition DUZZZGĖS, where young visitors and their parents will become true explorers and creators of nature.
The afternoon will begin with a short but discovery-filled tour of the exhibition, which is home to lively, colourful animals that make unexpected sounds. Children will learn why some insects “sing” with their wings, what is hiding under a moss leaf, and what secrets can be heard when listening to the silence.

Then there will be a fun game about bugs, which will allow children to learn more about these little creatures in a playful way and remember interesting facts from the excursion.
At the end of the afternoon, everyone will be invited to participate in a creative workshop called “My Animal in a Terrarium.” Using gifts from nature – leaves, twigs, chestnuts, pinecones, and other autumn treasures – children and their parents will create small, symbolic animal worlds. Perhaps it will be a sleepy snail, or maybe a curious ladybug ready to spread its wings?

Family Afternoon is not only an opportunity to learn about the diversity of nature, but also an invitation to slow down, listen to how our environment “speaks,” how every little creature buzzes and lives.
We invite you to the Lithuanian Education Museum on October 11 and 25 at 2 p.m. to spend time together, find inspiration, enjoy creativity, and feel the true buzz of nature in your heart!

Sustainability is important to us! Therefore, we invite you to bring your own container to the terrarium workshop – a jar or other container that we can bring back to life! Together, we create beauty and preserve nature.
