The Lithuanian Education Museum invites you to an exhibition of works by students and teachers of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, entitled “The Power of Drawing.”
This exhibition invites visitors to rethink the significance of drawing in the modern world, to look at drawing from a different angle, perhaps even consciously and briefly separating it from contemporary art. The works of VAA teachers and students on display reveal different drawing styles and techniques – from academic studies, freehand sketches, and studies of human anatomy to abstract drawings.
The exhibition emphasizes the universality and revival of drawing, its role in developing creativity, memory, and mental health, as well as its contribution to neuroplasticity and learning processes. Even the attitude towards professionalism. The exhibition not only shows the historical continuity of drawing, but also encourages viewers to pick up a pencil themselves – to discover that this ancient practice is relevant and meaningful in the 21st century.
The exhibition will run from September 3 to October 4, 2025, at the Lithuanian Education Museum.
Admission to the exhibition is included in the general museum admission ticket.
