Family Saturday at the museum: ČIR ČIR spring!
2026 March 7 - 2026 March 7
14:00 - 16:00
On March 21, we invite families to a special Saturday at the museum and the presentation and workshops of the new international exhibition “Japanese Education”!
Koinobori workshops
Did you know that in Japan, colorful carp fly near houses in the spring? These are koinobori – wind catchers resembling the shape of a carp. In Japan, the carp is considered a symbol of strength, endurance, and success because, according to legend, it can swim against the current and even overcome waterfalls.
During Children’s Day celebrations in Japan, families raise koinobori to wish their children strength, courage, and happiness.
In this workshop, we will create our own colorful carp – we will decorate and color them and learn more about the meaning of this tradition.
Tour of the exhibition
Together, we will visit the international exhibition “Education in Japan” and learn about interesting aspects of school life in Japan.
We welcome families, curious children, and anyone who wants to spend some creative time at the museum!
📍 We look forward to seeing you at: Vytauto pr. 52, Kaunas
