Painting exhibition by Professor Remigijus Venckus, PhD, entitled “FREEDOM AND COINCIDENCE: without a predetermined trajectory”

Exhibition

2026 January 15 - 2026 February 28

From January 15 to February 28, 2026, the Lithuanian Education Museum will host an exhibition of paintings by Prof. Dr. Remigijus Venckus entitled “FREEDOM AND COINCIDENCE: Without a Predetermined Trajectory.”

About the exhibition

Painting manifesto. A work of art is the result of the author’s struggle with his thoughts and materials (e.g., canvas, paint, etc.). This struggle exists even when the viewer is overwhelmed by the initial impression that the work came into being with a single, light, and elegant stroke of the hand. The aspect of struggle shows that painting is not just a gift to the viewer; it also plays a role in the self-awareness of the creator and the marking of his existence.
The unruly brush, the changing and heterogeneous composition – these are the hallmarks of the author’s work, which is shaped not only by the desire to experiment and speak about reality in different ways, but also by the search for a unique artistic language.
